Agreed there. Any class can be boring, when you think of it:
Warriors: "Hit, hit, hit, hit 4 ADREN! 1, 2, 3...yawn".
Sins: "1, 2, 3, 4, cooling down....yawn".
Eles: "1, 2, 1, 3, 5.....(meteor shower, 5 sec cast)...1, 2...yawn".
By that logic, the Mesmer should be the only fun class. Roll Mesmers, everyone, every other class is boring (apparently)!!

I voted Warrior. Though they're a useful class in both PvE and PvP, I just don't appreciate the sustained melee pressure without the mobility of assassins or the versatility of Dervishes.
What I don't get, though, is all the hate for Paragons. They have ranged attacks at the same speed as the fastest melee weapons, can access sustained IAS skills with no disadvantages easily, can devastate enemies with condition loaded spear attacks, can act as better batteries than Necromancers, and provide party wide support constantly. The only valid argument I see against them is that the male armor looks... well... gay. That's easily solved by playing a female Paragon.

No love for Paragons?
Ah, well, I voted mesmer because they're too complicated to have fun with. Not because of the nerfs either. I don't think I've ever had a mesmer, maybe my brother did early on for a few days? necromancer would have been my choice but they've saved me tons of times with their minions, and I actually thought they were pretty cool whenever I got the chance to play them. Paragons are my second favorite class so you guys who voted elsewise...uch I lost my respect for you . Rangers are cool, I used to trap in PvP. I currently have a monk, and they're useful so they were out of choices for my vote. Dervishes are cool; I respect them. Assassins are both underrated and overrated (PvE and PvP respectively). I have a ritualist and he's pretty cool to use. Elementalists are my favorite class of them all, being that I dedicate two slots to them on my account. Warriors are fun too because you can just run in and attack without worrying you're going to die every two seconds like on a caster.
I think thats it. Mesmer ftl I'm sorry to say. They wont stop interrupting me every 2 seconds.

I voted assassin.Basically because I don't like they're self heals.I personally think that factions is the worst campaign so far for PvE.The assassin, you have combos and stuff? You can barely use every combo move unless your soloing on a single enemy. And the ritualist,3 second cast a spirit thingy,by the time you made them and your about to hit something, the other 7 people have killed it >.>
And if you're wondering why I chose assassin over ritualist,it's because I think the dervish is the best cloth armor tank out there right now.It has very good self heals(4 enchantments on skill bar + sig of pious light) and yea.I got a warrior, those are great, good for money, you can run,you can't solo things but they're pretty fun,you don't get crit for 100+ all the time and as some one said, you don't have to worry about dying in 3 seconds.I've also got a monk I made, purely for farming UW/FoW/other places.I've got a paragon aswell, but it's not lvl 20 yet,so far I think it's pretty good,no idea why people got no love for the paragon.Good for PvE because you can fill your skill bar with 1-2 heals, res sig or some type of res,and 5 condition spear attacks. So you can take 3-4 enemies easily, just condition them all.

A lot of nonsensical points made in this thread, especially something like "Warrior is easy" and such. The thing is ALL classes play pretty much the same way, with all classes you have to chain your skills to get the most from them, Warriors aren't easier that way than say Eles (or any other class).

I prefer mellé classes. Warrior being my favorite. They may seem like a typical grunt and smash class at first, but with GWs dual class system, they are easily the most subtly versatille class in the game. Also the best solo class, imo.
I'd say me least desired class in the game would be para or rit. played well, they can be completely essential, but I prefer dealing damage than support.

I'd have to say monk is my least favourite. I still like it, but i prefer playing other professions over it.

Dont underestimate the damage potential, a paragon with 16 in spear mastery (and some good skills) can really hurt.

I just don't get the Paragon hate here. Paragons ROCK! they give synergy where synergy is needed in both PvE and PvP increasing the combat or healing aspect of the party as a whole.
The only drawback that I have seen for Paragons is less armor than a warrior and no AoE type attack such as Barrage; those two drawbacks should not be a reason to like the paragon the least.
Paragon DPS is fantastic and they Spear skills are parallel to any Sword, Axe, or Hammer skill sets at range.
Mesmer on the other hand even after 150 skills for them lack an overall party benefit nor do they grant any party buffs. The Mesmer is a one-target killer who blows their wad faster than they can cast a second time.
As much as I like the Mesmer class in concept I have to vote Mesmer as the least useful and liked in a party situation either PvP or PvE.

Yes I agree so let me make myself more clear. The Mesmer unlike the Paragon does not excel at what its meant to do thus I don't find it fun. Whereas the Necromancer can punish better with domination hex style skills such as Spiteful Spirit or Spoil Victor, Degen better with Life Transfer, and a Ranger can Interrupt better with Broad Tip Arrow. I just don't find them that appealing or fun. At least a Paragon can Shout better than any other class and that at least causes me to enjoy them more than a Mesmer who excels only at casting faster. Its my hope that this situation with the Mesmer changes with the next update.

I too should explain more. I was referring more to the Paragon "hate". It's the way they're played, or best played, that can make them unappealing. Most people just like to fight and kill things, and Paragons aren't terribly fit for that.

have to disgree with you here. other points are arguable, but this just isn't true in most pvp environments (rangers may have mes's in pve) Now as someone who monks regularly in pvp, I must say I'd rather have a broad head on me then decent mes. In RA/TA I make all my builds with some sort of dodge/block skill so I can easily get rid of daze (cause god knows theres no shortage of broad head rangers) and in HA/GvG you most likely have another monk to take it off. A good mes on the other hand is a lot harder to counter.
And anyways, mes's are great at all the other stuff you listed to. And sure they don't have party buffs but thats not they're made to do. They're not leaders like paras.
Back on topic:
Least favorite to play: War's. Sorry, not a melee type of guy, and at least sins and dervs give me lots of skills to spam. Doesn't mean I don't like wars on my team mind you
Least thats used imo: Mes's. Honestly I <3 mesmers and wish more people made teams with them.

I voted Assassin for a few reasons. They seem to be not very difficult to play as it's set up a combo then teleport in, press 1,2,3,4 etc then teleport/run away whether target is dead or not...rinse and repeat. In AB the players that play them seem to be (how can I put it) the most annoyingly verbally active, lol.
Having said that the main reasons are that I hate being on the receiving end of their combos when on opposing side but even more so(I usually play as a monk) trying to keep the majority of them alive whilst they go off and do their thing is one helluva annoying job.
Hmmm, having re-read this post it seems I hate the people that play Ass's rather than the class itself. :P

lmao best line in the whole post. makes no sense at all. i love the warrior hate saying how "easy" they are to play, and then someone follows up with, i play ele, or i play necromancer..
ele and necros are the 2 easiest classes in the game to play. you pick a target, hit the button from a distance, and repeat. use a counter for the class your fighting if you have on, if not, who cares, you're an ele/necro, so that makes you the best. wrong, most casters have bad attitudes and believe they're the entire reason the team is doing damage, when in fact warriors do more damage consistently than any other class in the game. paaaathetic

I wanted to vote Warrior for revenge, cause all wammos hate mesmers but then I realised i never played paragon and I voted for it. The skills/looks/and style of paragons was never appealing to me I must say.
But id vote for warrior just becouse every idiot can play that class, unlike mesmer which you have to master...oh yeah and use BRAIN!
